Portable pipe organ, played by turning a
handle. This works a pump and drives a
replaceable cylinder upon which music is
recorded as a pattern of ridges controlling
the passage of air to the pipes.
It was a common entertainment and parish
church instrument in England during the 18th
and 19th centuries.
